About OliveWing

What does OliveWing do?

OliveWing reads the public conversation in local communities, from neighborhood subreddits to local news comment sections and community Facebook groups. The data shows what people are talking about within a specific geography, in their own words. You see the issues before they are trending, the arguments behind them, and the language people actually use.

How is it different from polling or social listening?

It shows the issues people raise on their own within a community. We don’t run surveys, and we don’t just count keyword volume. Every topic comes from real public conversations with a quote linked back to its source.

Who do you work with?

Campaigns, consultants, advocacy organizations, public offices and newsrooms that need to understand a community before they speak to it.

Why the name OliveWing?

When I started building OliveWing, I wanted it to embody the idea of truly listening, regardless of political ideology. Whether you’re hearing a comment from the right wing or the left wing, the goal is to set those labels aside and extend an olive branch, so you can understand the person behind it.
